Friday Night Social in Conjunction with Our 50th

Dear Central Class of 1965 Classmates:

You are invited to our Friday Night Informal Social 9/18/2015 from @ 6:00 PM to @11:00 PM at 2022 Marina Cove Drive, Hixson, TN.  (A Map is Attached).  The Theme of our social will be, “Support Your Team”.  Please wear the colors or emblem of your favorite High School, College, or Professional team with shorts, or other very casual wear.

Your hosts and hostesses for the evening will be Elaine Tate, Loretta Harless, Sandra Denton, Diane Simmons, Phillip Metcalf, and Earl Kelle.

Please bring enough food for yourselves and one other person and either soft or adult beverages (please imbibe responsibly).  All plates, utensils, napkins and ice will be provided.

1960s era music will be played all night and a photographer will be on hand to take candid photos and a group picture.  It will be a very casual evening to relax and catch up with old friends.

Bathing suits are advised for those wanting to swim.  No skinny dipping at our age (that means you W.L. !!).

There should be ample parking in our subdivision.  Please do not block driveways (a lot of “old people” live in here and they can be cranky and crotchety).

Please come enjoy a fun evening with us.  We are very excited about our 50th class reunion.

Looking forward to seeing all of you,

Elaine, Loretta, Sandra, Diane, Phil, and Earl

Prayer Request

This is a post Lori made on CCC:  Please pray for the family of Earl Kelle (class of 1965). Earl’s wife Emily is in Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga. Emily is in serious condition and we need to keep this dear family in our thoughts and prayers.

The Year of Our 50th Reunion

Hard to believe it’s 2015 and nearly 50 years since we graduated.  I excited about our 50th Reunion–airline tickets already purchased.  Feel blessed I have several options for a place for Kathi and me to stay.  Please talk to every classmate you come in contact with about or 50th.

Billboard Top 20

Check out the new Billboard Top 20 Page by clicking on the link above.  As a part of the Chattanooga Central History Project, I’ll be adding this feature for years starting around 1955.  Guess which ones are getting done first?

New Class of ’65 Social Media Site

We need to get the word out about our Class social media group on Chattanooga Central Connection. Our broadcast messaging system is transitioning to this site.  It also provides a system to message classmates directly and provides a contact database for those classmates with e-mail addresses. Additionally, it allows a classmates to post directly to the site very much the same as a Facebook. To access Class of ’65 on Chattanooga Central Connection, go to http://chattanoogacentralconnection.ning.com/Groups/class-of-1965 and sign in with your e-mail address and password.

Please contact Bob Johnson at mrcentral65@comcast.net for assistance in getting signed in and/or questions about navigating the site.

Thank You Note from Janie Leonard Williams

Received the following message from Lori Harless Grauso:
Received a thank you card from Janie Leonard Williams in reference to the Get Well card sent from the Central Class of 1965.
Janie wrote a wonderful and inspiring note to us stating just how much the card from the class meant to her.  She said when she received she was having a not so good day and it lifted her spirits so much to know we were thinking of her.
Janie is doing well and the cancer hopefully in gone…….Janie wants to thank all who prayed for her and she sends her love.
